Why use this

Open New campaign when you want to commit a hypothesis, goal, and channel mix to writing before you spend on it.

Benefits:

  • Force a written hypothesis before money goes out
  • Tie the campaign to one product and its channels
  • Pick a goal metric and target you can grade against
  • Start with the structure that makes post-mortems possible

What this is

The new-campaign form at /campaigns/new. Captures the campaign hypothesis, goal, dates, and which product or channels feed it.

Who can access it

Owner, admin, member. Sign-in required.

What it does

  • Lets you pick an active product to attach the campaign to.
  • Surfaces the active channels for that product so you can target the right mix.
  • Saves a row in marketing.campaigns ready to receive attached posts.

How to use it

  1. Open /campaigns/new.
  2. Write a one-line hypothesis you intend to test.
  3. Pick the product and any specific channels you want to track.
  4. Set the goal metric (signups, paid conversions, revenue, impressions) and target.
  5. Set start and end dates.
  6. Save; jump straight to the command center.

Rules and limits

  • Goal target is a numeric ceiling; the detail page shows percent achieved against it.
  • A campaign without a goal still works, but pace tracking will not light up.
